Intro to Racing
INTRODUCTION TO KEELBOAT RACING
The course consists of 17 hours of instruction, the majority of which are spent on the water, practicing on a mix of racecourses with our fleet of identical Club Sharks. A coach will accompany students on each boat, with the instructor overseeing the course from a separate coach boat.
INTRODUCTION TO KEELBOAT RACING is aimed at both, skippers and crew, focusing on strategy, starts, tactics, and finishes.
Only one session will be offered this year:
IKR-1 (Evening and weekend session)
August 4 to 6, 2023
Friday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
The cost of the course is $450 + tax, and includes a copy of the textbook, Getting Started in Sailboat Racing, a must-have for any racer that will continue to further your knowledge about racing after the course is over.
